SI’s fiberglass is a very lightweight, layered, fabric-like material made of a combination of corrosion resistant “A” glass strands and binder. All of SI’s products are continuous strand and produced using the updated Modigliani process. This process allows us to make extremely consistent, highly adaptable veils and mats that can excel in most applications. Our material is used in molding, foam reinforcement, filters and insulation material. And with our development of specialized binders, our mats and veils are perfect for use in pultruding, phenolic applications, filament winding, pre-forming, and high-performance composites in epoxy. SI veils will help you achieve the smooth and resin rich surfaces expected of composites.
