PULTRUSION VEIL
Our
pultrudable veil has a non-soluble in styrene binder, which makes it ideal
for processes that require excellent wet-strength
while still offering quick wet out and a smooth, resin-rich surface for your
composites. Veils not only improve the appearance of end products, they improve
corrosion resistance with “A” glass, increase product durability,
and reduce wear on your pultrusion equipment.
Available binders include: non-soluble in styrene polyester and phenolic.

PRODUCT DESCRIPTION: Non-woven, continuous strand, glass fiber veil for use in pultrusion and filament winding applications where improved or Class-A surface is required. Highly corrosive-resistant, boron-free "A" glass strands are used. Binder at 7 to 16% by weight with Silane glass additive for improved polymer/glass bond.
PRODUCT APPEARANCE: Trimmed rolls on 3" cores. Highly uniform, continuous strand veil. Substantially free of tears, holes, foreign material.
PRODUCT SLITTING: Rolls slit to customer specifications in 2" to 72" widths (+/- 1/4 to 1") or 0.05m to 1.8m (+/- 0.65 to 2.5cm).
